                                      Week #1

Verse:Psalm 23:1-6

The Lord is my sheperd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures.  He leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul.   NIV

"So does anybody have any questions about today's lesson?" Sabrina's Sunday School teacher asked.  Thoughts raced through Sabrina's mind as she thought about today's
lesson. Where to start?  She understood so little. So she raised her hand.

"Sabrina?" Her teacher motioned towards her.

"What does it mean that God is our shepherd in our verse?" Sabrina ask timidly.

"It means that, well... a shepherd watches over his sheep, right?  He takes care of them and gives them food and water, right?  Well, God is the same way.  He is the shepherd and we are the sheep. But God as our shepherd not only gives us our physical or outside needs. But he also gives us our spiritual and emotional needs." Her teacher explained.
"Does that help answer your question?"

"It sure does!" Sabrina replied grinning.
